Severnside Sirens The sirens sound a warning to areas that are potentially at risk from an incident at the chemical sites in the Avonmouth area. If you hear the sirens: go and stay inside the house, listen to local radio & TV for instructions. When it is safe the sirens all clear message will be sounded. The sirens are tested on the 3rd day of each month at 3pm. The test is a 3 minute alert warning, 1 minute silence followed by a 1 minute all clear signal.
