PORTISHEAD HM COASTGUARD

Portishead volunteer coastguard have an 11 man team based at the old Albright and Wilson building on the Port Marine site. They act on direct pager calls from the Swansea coastguard and carry out mud and search rescue missions in an area from the radar station at Walton Bay up to the second Severn crossing, and occasionally called to attend emergencies below the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
